Sarry
Creative Director / Founder / StylistMeet Sarry — the founder and creative force behind SHY Salon & Spa. Born and raised in Michigan before moving to Chicago in 2013, Sarry built SHY with the vision of creating a salon experience that feels inclusive, elevated, and genuinely welcoming to every person who walks through the door.
Beyond the chair, Sarry is passionate about education, mentorship, and helping others grow within the beauty industry. As an educator and mentor, he is dedicated to creating opportunities for artists to feel inspired, supported, and confident in their craft while continuing to push creativity and innovation forward.
Through SHY, Sarry has created more than a salon — he has built a community centered around authenticity, connection, and empowering people to feel unapologetically themselves.
Jason
Meet Jason — With nine years of experience—and work featured in over ten magazines including Vogue—Jason brings a meticulous, results-driven approach to skincare. His specialty is deep-clean facials with extractions, where he blends technique, detail, and relaxation to create noticeable, lasting results. He’s known for his gentle touch, calming energy, and the signature glow he delivers to every client.
At SHY Salon & Spa, Jason thrives in an inclusive, uplifting environment that celebrates authenticity and welcomes all walks of life. When he’s not elevating complexions, you’ll find him at the gym, dancing, or exploring all things health and wellness. His work style is passionate and energetic—think Crazy in Love—and he prides himself on making every client feel seen, connected with, and genuinely cared for.
Esthetician
Stylist / Esthetician / Massage TherapistMarlene
Meet Marlene — With 12 years in esthetics and three years in hair and massage therapy, Marlene blends art, science, and intuition in every service. She’s best known for an unreal shampoo experience and believes most hair and skin concerns come down to one thing—hydration. Her approach focuses on finding the right products to bring life, shine, and balance back to hair and skin.
Outside the salon, Marlene loves reality TV, cooking everything from scratch, and spending time with her two cats, Tomasito and Manuel. She creates a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard and cared for, usually with candy nearby and a chai with oat milk in hand.

Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, our customer service manager ensures every interaction is a positive one. They keep communication clear, timely, and human.
Lola
Meet Lola — the heart and soul of SHY Salon & Spa. As our beloved shop dog, Lola spends her days greeting guests, supervising appointments, and making the salon feel a little more like home. Whether she’s lounging by the front desk or making her rounds for extra attention, Lola brings warmth, comfort, and a calming energy to everyone she meets.
